ABOUT
Director – Oakview Consultants Ltd
Born and brought up on a farm in Africa. I spent much of my early life in the African bush hunting & 'messing about'.
My first proper job was as a conservation officer (Game Ranger) in the Kafue National Park, Zambia.
My early professional life in the UK was as an officer in HM Forces. On leaving the forces I completed a BSc (Hons) in marine engineering and an MSc in engineering safety and moved into a career as a safety engineer. I spent 20 years advising and leading projects for a range of industries from heavy industry to British wild life parks.
I have been fortunate to run, advise and provide logistical support for a range of expeditions in central America (Belize), North Africa (Sahel region) and Caribbean.
In addition to teaching bushcraft, I have been involved in training folk in stuff like:

Scuba Diving
Beach lifeguards
Karate
